Autumn Views

Crabapples

The snow and the fog settled into northern Colorado this week, but Monday was a day to remember – cerulean skies and warm temps – a perfect morning for a walk with my trusty iPhone camera (I know!) in my hip pocket.

Leaves1

The fallen leaves intrigued me with their Canadian alligiance against the pebbley sidewalk…

Mapleton

…the old tree lined streets of Boulder still alive with color this late in autumn.

Wall

A brick wall's checkered pattern, a march of cobbles…

Apples

…deep red apples asleep in a bed of leaves…

Bicycle

…an old bicycle about to become one with the garden…

Chard

…and a little sidewalk garden still holding onto a swiss chard for some late autumnal meal.

Leaves2

Camera in hand as a view finder, I could hardly stop shooting the intriguing compositions of fallen leaves…

Primroses

…and these sweet little primroses hanging on and nestled in another bed of leaves.

Studio2

In other view news, my studio is now being framed above the garage at the new house! My husband dragged a couple of chairs up the ladder last weekend and we dined on take out salads, admiring the views and soaking up the sun.

Studio1

This is it…the new studio space…waiting for walls and a roof. I kind of like it open to the trees and sky…until it snowed this week. The roof should go on soon.

View-finder

This is the window that goes above my studio sink…a little view finder of the trees across the ditch. Hope you are enjoying your fall views!

  1. Thanks for sharing these stunning images from one of the longest, prettiest Colorado autumns I can remember. I especially like the first photo and the way you captured the light coming through the berries and leaves. Gorgeous!
