The Beckoning of Lovely

The wonderful (and I really mean it) Juliana Coles sent me this link the other day and asked me to pass it on. I think I'm still riding the wave of "yes we can". That combined with my natural wintery inclination to hibernate, put on my jammies the second it gets dark (about 5:15 p.m.) and bring out the needle and thread. I've just started a new batch of iPod cases and I'm playing around with some new embroidery ideas as well as some things from one of my Japanese "cute" books. More on that later, I promise. But in the meantime, if you are at all inclined to make stuff (duh!) watch this sweet video. I was weepy at the end. What is wrong with me lately? Or maybe, what is right with me? An open heart is a good thing. But really, teary at YouTube? – get a grip. Be inspired and send something in. I sent a few photos of things I've made. I wanted to join in. Be a part of this big experiment. Be connected to other living souls who make things. Head, hands and heart.

Maybe all you really need is love.

Fran, seriously. Get a grip.
